Here at Waipā District Council we have a clear vision - to partner the community in promoting the well-being of the Waipā District and its people.  We have a diverse landscape, vibrant towns with boutique shops and cafes, easy access to recreational activities, elite sporting venues and outstanding scenic features such as Lake Karapiro and Maungatautari mountain.  We are a highly sought after destination to live, work and play.

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to hit the ground running providing  immediate administrative support to our Deputy Chief Executive / Group Manager Business Support based in Te Awamutu.
As our new team member you will be customer focused, with a can do attitude. You will remain calm and focused under pressure and have a natural ability to multi-task and adapt accordingly whilst ensuring the quality of your work is high. You will also be discreet and retain confidentiality at all times.

In this fast paced and challenging role you will be responsible for completing all administrative duties including letters, email, diary management, responding to enquiries or requests, preparing documents, and minute taking. You will also manage Council wide fleet and travel requirements. You will be assisted in this role by an Administrative Assistant. Ideally we are looking for someone who has an excellent proven track record in a similar role along with advanced computer knowledge and experience in MS Office applications.

For the right person this position presents an exciting opportunity to work in a professional environment, and be a highly valued member of hard-working but fun-loving organisation.
If this sounds like an opportunity that you would like to pursue, we would love to hear from you.
